This is the classic Indian Wars Springfield 45-70 caliber trapdoor rifle. The fair bore has strong rifling with scattered pitting. All the metal has light surface roughness. It is equipped with an 1877 rear sight. The cleaning rod is a replacement. The stock is sound with no visible markings. The swivels are present. The action functions correctly. This would make a great wall hanger.
