Description:
3-5/8 inch barrel chambered in 31 caliber 6 shot revolver. Bore has good rifling with scattered light roughness. Barrel has been shortened and turned down to resemble the part round part octagon style of the Dragoon Model. Metal surfaces are a gunmetal gray patina traces of light pitting and oxidation. The loading lever assembly, wedge, trigger, cylinder and a few screws are modern replacements. Brass has a nice appearance with some tarnish. New York barrel address and “COLT PATENT” on the frame are worn and mostly legible. Walnut grips are in fair condition with wear and handling mars. Action does need a tune-up but is still a cool piece.
