Description:
For your consideration, a Renato Gamba Safari 72 double rifle chambered in .375 Holland & Holland Magnum. The coin finish, scalloped boxlock action is Greener crossbolt equipped in with dual underlug bites. Tight scroll engraving covers most of the frame with deep chisel relief on that of the breech bolsters. The flats bear insets of a bounding lion at left and a grazing rhinoceros at right, while the blued bottom trigger plate shows the more tight scroll work and a roaring tiger at center. Furniture highlights include oil finish, high LPI checkering at wrist and forend, beaded, pancake cheekpiece, and a leather covered butt pad. The right trigger guard edge is rolled. This piece features a set of unobtrusive cocking indicators in the form of brass pins which tactilely protrude from the forward action screw when cocked. The iron sights are supplemented by a set of claw-type scope bases which mate with a Nikon 2-7x32 scope in Burris Zee rings. .375 H&H Magnum
