A True .36 Caliber Unconverted Survivor!
Here we present an antique Remington New Model Navy Revolver, made circa the early 1870s in Ilion, New York. Remington manufactured approximately 28,000 of the .36 caliber New Model Navy revolvers between 1863 and 1875. About 4,300 of these revolvers were purchased by the U.S. Navy, while the others were sold commercially—some being purchased privately by soldiers and officers.
The overall condition is good. Strong action. The cylinder arbor pin has been replaced. The bore is good for its age. Both grips are in good shape.
