SMITH & WESSON .45 TARGET MODEL OF 1950 (PRE-MODEL 26, FIVE SCREW VARIATION - 45 ACP CALIBER
This offers for sale a Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector Model 1950 45 Target Revolver, Serial Number S97616, as new in its original maroon Smith & Wesson box, along with a Smith & Wesson factory letter, written by Mr. Roy G Jinks, describing the model, production quantity and characteristics of the subject revolver.
The Hand Ejector Model of 1950 .45 Target Revolver, with its large square-butt N frame was introduced on Feb 27, 1950, with a total of 2,768 units produced. According to the S & W factory letter, written by Mr. Jinks, the subject revolver was shipped from the factory on October 20, 1952, nearly seventy (70) years ago!
The condition of the subject revolver is quite easy to describe; it is as new in its original factory maroon box. The revolver is equipped with a wide spur target hammer. There is, only, an exceptionally light impression on the recoil plate, indicating that the revolver has been test fired only! Likewise, there is a barely perceptible rotation line on the cylinder. The perfect condition factory magna grip panels are un-numbered. The original factory maroon box, also, is in excellent condition with, only, a couple of corner scuffs. Also include with the revolver is the original warranty card, wax paper and two half-moon clips in their original little manila envelope.
The subject Smith & Wesson .45 Target Model 1950 Revolver should appeal to the most discriminating Smith & Wesson collector and enthusiast; most likely, there is none finer within its model series!
