The design of the FN-49 started before the outbreak of WWII but was not completed until 1949 due to the Nazi invasion of Belgium. They were adopted by several nations and were widely considered to be great rifles but were soon outdated. The FN-49 led to the development of the FAL, which became the most widely adopted rifle in the Western World during the Cold War. This FN-49 is in excellent condition and has a sling and bayonet.
