This is an excellent all original example of a much sought after "Black Widow" Luger rig, made during WWII by Mauser for German Army and SS units. Made towards the end of the WWII Luger production, this rare variation had black Bakelite grips and a black Bakelite bottom magazine to match. Very few were made in this configuration and those that made it through the war are highly collectible. This gun is all original with about 95-97% of original blueing remaining, with minimal holster wear and a couple of minor rub marks on the side plate and on the rear grip strap. It is all matching, down to the firing pin and the main toggle pin. Excellent bore and nice condition original Bakelite grips with no cracks or pieces missing, showing normal wear. Magazine is equally nice with no cracks on the Bakelite bottom and is FXO Eagle/37 coded. The gun is profusely marked with various waffenamts. It also comes with a beautiful black 1942 coded holster with an extra FXO magazine and no defects. The leather is supple and the holster holds its shape very well.
One of the better examples of a scarce "Black widow" variation.
