Description:
This is a beautiful Browning Belgium Safari FN bolt action rifle with open sights and Redfield scope bases. It was manufactured in 1969. I would rate the metal at 98% and it has the engraved floorplate and trigger guard. The stock is a beautiful tiger stripe walnut that I would rate at 96% due to a few handling marks.It has the plastic Browning buttplate. This gun was manufactured during the salt wood period. The inside of the stock had been finished with shellac. There were 2 small spots of surface rust below the stock on the left side front of the receiver and 1 small spot on left side of barrel near where it attaches to the receiver. I cleaned those spots and added shellac to that area of the inside of the stock. Very little salt wood damage after 53 years.
