Description:
1955 Winchester Model 12, 20 gauge. The left side of the barrel is marked "WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK / MADE IN U.S.A.", "-MODEL 12 – 20 GA. – 2 3/4 CHAM. / -WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL- / WS-1". The barrel to the left of the rib and the top of the receiver at the front each have an oval "WP" proof. The bottom of the receiver and barrel extension are marked "1511307". There is an orange bead in a base at the front of the rib and a smaller silver mid-bead. The top of the rib and receiver are serrated for glare reduction. The fore end is checkered walnut with extended slide handle The stock is checkered with a capped pistol grip and a straight comb, checkered black hard rubber Winchester buttplate. This gun is an excellent example of the Winchester Model 12. 12 Gauge
