"Rare Versailles Carbine Manufactured in the Workshop of Nicholas Noel Boutet. Lock marked “MRE ImpLE De Versailles". Barrel is dated 1807. Boutet was the official gun maker to the king and his manufactory was on the grounds of the Versailles Palace. The condition is very good. Scarce and desirable carbine.
