This gun, made with splinter forend, Fox Kautzky single selective trigger, auto ejectors and auto safety. Fine original straight grip buttstock with superb layout and grain and gun with full deep chiseled oak leaf engraving which extends to the long tang trigger guard. Fox on bottom with head down and the gun was most likely Gough engraved. Stocks checkered in "D" Grade pattern "Same as D Grade on P-15 of Catalog" per letter. The gun was special stocked with a notation for "Mr. Roll will see Mr. Naracom as to the kind of wood to be used for stock and forend". Barrels were special ordered to be perpendicular, per the card. The original consignor was "T.W. Tignors". Stock is very finely figured as seen in the photos and now has an extra 1/4" extension and 1" pad which could easily be removed - the previous owner added that for his LOP requirements but I will offer to have a proper pad installed to the buyer of this gun at no charge. The barrels have been renumbered from a different gun - fit, finish, function is perfect. Please be sure to read the Fox letter in the photos - it is very interesting! Overall, the gun remains in excellent condition. Barrels retain more tahn 97% of an older professional rust blue. The action is excellent with more than 65% original case color and engraving is as crisp as it was day 1. Stocks are sound, excellent and retain most of a professionally restored finish - never having been sanded, just with finish added. The gun is tight, sound, ejectors are in time and the gun is tight on the face. Bores are bright and shiny. This fine Fox is priced at $6950 plus shipping to your FFL.
