Description:
This is a beautiful Colt 1911 manufactured in 1918 with a rough finish that turns an iconic dark color over time often referred to as a "Black Army". The right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Left side of the slide is marked with patent and address info with intercepting pony. The finish shows normal handling marks throughout including a minor takedown mark and some edge wear but is in otherwise great condition with the majority of finish remaining. Bore is excellent with strong rifling, mechanically excellent. Dimensions are as follows BBL. 5" WT 37oz.
