Description:
Beautiful and rare Pre War 375 H&H M70 Super Grade. S/N 57*** with matching scribed bolt completed in 1946, but of 100% Pre War components and finishes. This is a very nice rifle, with all original finishes in about 97% condition due to some scattered handling marks. It has a few shallow but notable scratches on wood, some flaking on bakelite tip, and a scrape on barrel blue. There are no cracks or other issues and it appears to be virtually unfired. C-1 contour barrel. The front sight is the correct gold bead Redfield of a 254 height. The rear sight is a factory inletted and installed Lyman 48 WJS receiver peep that has all matching component numbers and perfect function. This rifle is somewhat unique to most of the 375s produced, in that it has no other rear sight provison on the barrel! (no drill holes and no dovetail). The matted rear receiver bridge is of course UNDRILLED. Factory recoil pad as issued on all 375s. Minty bore and mechanics. A very difficult to find rifle in pretty amazing shape considering its 76 years.
