***SOLD*** One of the VERY FIRST of what would soon prove to be the finest bolt action center fire rifle ever created, and the standard by which all subordinates are judged even to this day. This amazing rifle has a 4 digit S/N 1426 with matching bolt made shortly after production commenced in 1936. Featuring all of the desirable early features such as polished carbonum blued receiver, undrilled rear receiver bridge, frost blued extractor, and it even has the ultra rare square faced floorplate release button. The overall condition is excellent showing 96% of original finishes, with a minty bore and perfect, butter smooth mechanics as usual. Made in the most popular 30-06 caliber, but still a very difficult rifle to find with this early of a S/N!
