About Us: I have retired, scaling down and forced to sell my gun collection. Most are new, in box, with wrapping with tags and all items sold with gun. Never handled, cocked or triggers pulled. Have always been displayed in show cases. I also have a couple of antiques that I will be listing.
Description:
This is a nice Henry rifle serial number 6884, built in 1864 during the Civil war. I have had it for almost 30 years. I will give as accurate description as I can. Starting with the stock. If there is any disappointment on this gun it is that someone at some time refinished the stock. They did a very nice job without trying to sand all of the dings out. The brass action is VERY nice with no scratches, or dings. It finish is a light patina. The barrel. The barrel is in nice shape with pretty nice bluing with some slight pitting. (see pictures) The bore is good again with some slight pitting. The sight is nice and free, the action tight with mild lever droop. The original cleaning rod is in the stock. The gentleman I purchased it from told me the enclosed sling is the original sling. I have no way to varify that. All in all, this is a very nice Henry. I am sure you would be proud to add it to your collection. Shipping and insurance is EXTRA according to location.
