Description:
This venerable bolt action rifle is a Winchester Model 70 (1951) chambered in .257 Weatherby Magnum. This rifle has a .257 Roberts barrel, but it has been re-chambered to .257 Weatherby Magnum. It has sling swivels top and bottom, a rubber recoil pad, diamond checkered forearm and pistol grip, and a hooded ramp mounted blade front sight. The furniture is in good condition with much of the high gloss finish intact. It shows a number of handling marks, with several noticeable mars to the lower portion of the stock. It is missing the factory rear sight, but it does come with a Weaver K4 60-B scope. The Weaver K4 60-B scope was the best scope Weaver made up until 1984. The most impressive feature of this scope is its constantly centered reticle. With this reticle, you can make your adjustments to target and still have the crosshair centered in the sight window. .257 Weatherby Magnum
