"Serial number 12417. Made in 1874. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. Very fine gun with 80% of the period nickel finish. This is a martial Ainsworth inspected Colt Single Action army sent to the state of west Virginia. West Virginia turned around and sold the entire lot of roughly 1600 single action to dealers and most of these guns went west. Small “A"s are still on different parts. Grips are excellent old ivories.
