Description:
On Hold Sale Pending iThis 1870 Springfield started life as a 2 band army rifle and was later converted to a carbine/ Sporting rifle for hunting large game, The breach block is marked 1870 US with the eagles holding crossed arrows.  The functioning lock is marked Springfield US 1863 with the American eagle. The Barrel has been shortened to 24 inches with Front and rear sights.  The stock has been shortened to carbine length and has a unit or rack number in the left side.  The metal but plate has been removed with a wooden but plate present.  The lock and action function fine.  There is good rifeling in the bore.  Please feel free to send me with any questions.  Shipping will be actuall cost by insured usps priority mail with tracking.
