Description:
Factory Engraved Early Third Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter. 45 Colt cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, plastic grips. The factory letter lists this revolver as part of a two gun shipment to MunsonSporting Goods Company in Costa Mesa, California, on March 27, 1978, with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish(blue/casehardened), and "Class 'C standard American style scroll engraving" The engraver's name and the grip type are not listed. It has the standard markings and features, the noted engraving, "COLT ENG" on the side of the front strap, and the aftermarket AJAX grips with goldCold medallions. CONDITION: Excellent with 98% plus original blue and casehardened finish, minor oxidation on the sides of the hammer, a few specs of light oxidation elsewhere, very faint cylinder draglines, and general minor handling wear and some pink staining on the toe. Mechanically excellent.
