SALE PENDING Colt Bisley .38-40 1st generation, 5 1/2" barrel, manufactured in 1902, made for smokeless powder. Safety notch needs some work, it doesn't hold the firing pin away from the primer - to be safe it needs to be used as a 5 shooter. The timing and lockup is good with a little cylinder movement. Strong mainspring, half cock position is smooth and cylinder turns freely. Cylinder chambers are in excellent condition, barrel condition is rough but shoots to point of aim. No numbers on inside of grips, don't know if they are original or not. Has an interesting bullseye ejector rod, smaller than what comes on single action Colts and clones, don't know if it's original to the gun or not. Ejector rod spring is weak, cylinder pin removes easily even though it looks like someone might have had problems years ago. Has v notch rear sight, screws are in really good shape and it shoots really good.
