Here is a very cool 1903 half-stock take-down rifle, rebarreled to 6.5x55 by Thompson & Campbell Rifle Makers of Cromarty, Scotland. Originally, of course, it was chambered in 6.5x54 MS. (The bottom metal is engraved: 6.5 M/M/.256 RIMLESS). The barrel is 24" with no sights. The bore is perfect. Single trigger. Features a recessed pop-up aperture sight. Scope-mount bases and 1" rings are installed. Length of pull is 14 5/8" with a trap-door butt. (Original cleaning rod not present.) The lightly figured stock has minor marks here and there, but is in very good condition overall. The weight is 7 lbs 5 oz. A classy and beautiful hunting rifle.
