We offer you a “Type II” Remington UMC Model 51 .380 ACP Semi Automatic Pistol Manufactured in 1921.

This is one of 4,376 .380's that were manufactured by Remington in 1921. This Type 2 Remington model 51 was manufactured in 1921 by the serial number of PA 40631; “PA” for Pedersen Automatic. The top of the slide legend that reads ““THE REMINGTON ARMS-UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO., INC.  REMINGTON ILION WKS. ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.  PEDERSEN’S PATENTS PENDING.”. The slide has fifteen - 15 vertical serrations, the “Remington / Trade Mark” frame marking with the “380 CAL” marking on the barrel. The magazine is original and in very fine condition. The original bluing is in fine condition and shows surface marks and scuffs from use over the last 101 years. The grips are in very fine condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The bore is in excellent condition with no issues and the pistol hand functions just fine. These guns feature three safeties:  a thumb-operated safety, a grip safety, and a magazine safety.
Most Model 51s will have a small anchor “inspection markings” stamped on the right side of the trigger guard, inside the slide in the hammer well and inside the frame just below where the barrel sits.  A very few have a sun instead of an anchor which is uncommon.  It is said that the sun stamp marking was used in 1922 and 1923.  However, this gun which was made in 1921 has both the sun marking inside the frame beneath the barrel. The anchor marking is on the left side of the trigger guard and on the bottom of the mainspring housing.

This will be shipped fully insured to your FFL dealer USPS Priority Mail for $25 with signature required.
Payment to be made by USPS Money Order or Cashier’s Check.
