Colt 1848 Baby Dragoon with 5" barrel. Serial # 445. Manufactured in 1848. This early revolver has grips with great acclivity. 40-50% Original blue remains on barrel and 15% on cylinder.Frame and hammer have a good percent of their mousy casecolors. 40-50% of silver remains on backstrap and triggerguard. Mostly on triggerguard. 100% of Original Indian cylinder scene remains. that is extremely hard to find on a Baby Dragoon. Early left hand barrel address. Good bore and rifling, although it"s been shot. Mechanics are crisp and tight. Original grips have had a light coat of varnish added in the last hundred years. Never sanded.
