Fabryka Broni "?ucznik" – Radom, or Factory 11, was and is a Polish defense industry enterprise from Radom that produces firearms. This little single shot is a Polish Military trainer modeled in the image of the Mosin-Nagant M38 Carbine, which itself shares similarities with the M44 carbine which Poland actually put into service. Produced from 1948 until 1960, the Wz48 was used to train Czech and Polish military cadets. This example sports the “circle 11” designation, for Factory 11 in Radom. The Wz. 48 is very simple to operate, like most single shot rifles. As opposed to actual Mosin Nagants, the Wz. 48 cocks on close.
