Description:
S O L D PRICE REDUCED These were introduced in 1950. It has the micrometer rear sight, a short throw hammer, and a ribbed barrel with ejector shroud. Five screw with a pinned barrel. Bore in the 6 1/2" barrel is bright and shiny and shows little use. No issues. The original blue finish rates 99%+. The only flaw, if can call it that, is a very slight turn line on the cylinder. Very nice case color remains on the hammer and trigger. Markings are clear and original. Action is tight and works perfectly. Numbers are all correct and matching including the grips. Box is excellent. Along with Smith & Wesson letter you will receive a sheet intitled FIREARMS INVENTORY RECORD. It is from 1981 and describes the features of the revolver. The letter states the caliber as 45 Colt, but it is 45 ACP as noted on the inventory record. This 45 caliber hand ejector is nice enough for any collection. It can be yours.
