Description:
This Marlin was manufactured circa 1941 and remains in very good overall condition. Wood is solid and shows normal scratches and dings for a gun this age. Pistol grip cap is missing and two small holes remain. Wood may have had a coat of finish added at some point. There is a 2" hairline crack on left side of buttstock behind receiver. Blue is very good with some light scratches. There is still some light case color left on receiver and lever, with a few small areas of oxidation. Finish from wood has been added to top tang and has turned yellow with age. Bore is bright with visible rifling. This is a "JM" stamped gun. No box. .30-30 Winchester
