Description:
SALE PENDING:         German parlor pistol in 6mm Flobert (see, e.g.,Dynamit Nobel RWS .22 caliber (6MM)).  Single shot, fixed front and rear sights, bird's head grips.  The barrel is about 9.6" long, with the first 1.75", including the chamber, more heavily built than the tapered fore barrel.  Stamped with D.R.G.M. on the left side of the receiver, and proof-marked on both the barrel and the aft side of the breech block.  The latter is particularly hard to photograph.  All parts are present and functional, including the extractor, breech block, hammer and trigger, and the bore is clear.  I have no reason to beleive that the pistol is not safe to shoot, but it is an antique, and I have never fired it.  If you are not qualified to make that determination, please have the pistol examined by a gunsmith.

The pistol was acquired by my father, a U.S. Army trauma surgeon (including division surgeon for the 101st Airborne) when he was stationed in Germany after WWII, nearly 80 years ago.  The pistol is likely pre-1899, but I have not  confirmed this.
