Description:
Highly unusual early lifter 2 barrel set in $80 Grade. Gun made with two sets of numbered barrels, one a factory original stub twist 24" barrel, which appears original length and the other, a Damascus 30" barrel. Two original wedge fastened forends. Checkered ball grip and original full steel buttplate. Very rare to find a factory two barrel two forend set this early, and this one set up for just about any use you can imagine! Housed in a period case that was definitely made for this gun during its period of use.
The gun remains in excellent original condition. The shorter barrels have nice defined pattern with most bright bores. The longer barrels have nice defined pattern with some pitting in the bores. Stocks are sound and excellent. Mechanics are crisp and the gun is nice and tight. Case is excellent with some minor scratches.
