For Shipping Please ask Payment Types Accepted: good check, Description: .451 Whitworth, NVSN, 33 inch barrel, blue finish, walnut military type stock, original sights, original box to carry tang and front sights when removed from rifle, also contains tools to adjust sights, original mold has been kept in service over time with repairs and changes, circa early 1860's Blanch manufactured fine target rifles using barrels from other manufacturers such as Whitworth, Henry & Kerr. Sights would be his own patented sights which were considered superior to his competitor's. With tang sight in place the rifle could be used for Match Target competition. With tang sight removed it would be eligible to compete in Military Target matches. As much a precision insturment as a rifle, it would be used at distances up to 1400 yards. Condition: bright sharp strong bore, 60% blue on barrel/barrel bands/trigger guard/hammer, rest of furniture bright, distinct lack of embellishment such as found on period Sporting Target rifles, excellent wood with some use bruises, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
