Marlin 1881 40-60 Marlin caliber, uses 40-65 Winchester ammo & loading dies . Desireable special order Lightweight receiver , Antique C1887. EXCELLENT overall , EXCELLENT brillant bore, very nice full size wood. I've owned this approx. 34 years and shot it occasionally. Excellent function and very accurate. Excellent markings . Some pictures show the wood slightly lighter than reality . Pictures taken outside in natural light . I'm downsizing my personal collection, so item sold as is with no return . Please study pictures and ask questions . You are responsible for your decisions ! I have 46 years experience with these older Marlins . They were an innovative ground breaking design in 1881 .
