Large Frame Allen & Thurber Single Shot Side Hammer Percussion Target Pistol...
Manufactured from the late 1840s to the 1850s, only a few hundred made. Brass blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, which extends back past the hammer to the adjustment screw. The left barrel flat is marked "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST-STEEL". Fitted with a finger rest trigger guard and a pair of smooth WALNUT bag shaped grips
The pictures show condition as best we can. We tried to get pictures of every flaw, mark, ding, makers mark or whatever we could find.
This came from the estate of an FFL/SOT Gun Smith, Gun Store that is out of business. This is or was inventory. The estate also was an avid collector of all types. Please check the pictures to check condition. There will be countless other listings from this inventory over the next 4 to 5 years. We are selling for the store. This is NOT a liquidation.
