From a private collection. We have a Custom bolt action rifle purchased from John Bollinger Sr. Bolt engraving was done by the legendary Jerome Glimm. Rifle had a small crack on the left side of stock next to where the chamber tapered. The crack was looked at and repair by John Bollinger Jr and certified to be in great working order for the remainder of the rifles life. Stock does have a few dings / handling marks.
Jr questioned the barrel having no signature and the style of checkering on the stock. We discussed that this could've been one of the rifles built during his classes that he gave. He did say the bolt was engraved by Jerome, the 1st gen tally bases are correct and the shape of the barrel / contour was correct also. He could not verify the serial number due to a harddrive crash and he having to turn over his earlier books during the time of the failed hardrive.
The owner of this gun said he bought this rifle from Sr in the early to mid 90's. He's owned several Bollinger's and I have no reason to not believe his story.
