S&W Registered .357 Magnum fitted with an 8 3/4 inch pinned barrel with checkered rib, pinned Patridge front sight, adjustable rear sight, diamond checkered walnut grips with large S&W medallions (which are stamped "SMITH & WESSON U.S. PAT.2081438" on the backside), checkered top strap of the frame, serrated on both sides of the hammer, "REG." prefix stamped on inside of yoke, blue finished and chambered in .357 Magnum. Gun is all numbers matching: Frame to the cylinder, barrel, crane, and grips. This beautiful Registered .357 Magnum is in excellent original condition, retaining 90-95% of its original blue finish, the grips fit well and retain most of their original finishes, with only minor handling marks and a very small chip on the top of the left grip behind the hammer. The bore looks new and the action functions perfectly. Comes with an original period-correct factory box and "The S&W ".357" Magnum" pamphlet/brochure. You will not see one of these very often, especially in this condition. Comes with a Smith & Wesson factory letter attesting to the configuration of this gun.
