Description:
1961 serial # 22177 Pigeon Grade 20 gauge 26½” M/IC vent rib barrels. selective trigger, ejectors, 1-3/8” x 2” x 14¼” to BrowninG butt plate. Weight is 6 lbs. 3 oz. Barrel proof date and inspector codes also correspond with 1961. 3” Chambers. I have owned this gun since February 3, 2003 and it remains in the same ‘as new’ condition as when my wife bought it (as a gift to me) from Steve Barnett Fine Guns. It shows evidence of a high-quality refinish sometime prior to 2003. I used it on a few dove hunts early-on and I will assure the lock-up is tight and the function is flawless. My collecting and shooting interests have changed so I am offering this item for its next caretaker’s enjoyment.

Transaction Details:
Once a buyer expresses his/her desire for an inspection period, I will provide a mailing address for sending payment and FFL copy. Buyer pays $75 shipping and insurance costs (UPS Ground) to lower 48. No International shipments. Payment secures a 3-day inspection privilege and can be made by Personal Check, Certified Check, or Money Order. 7-day waiting/clearance period applies to all except Postal Money Orders and approved electronic funds transfers. I’m not set-up for credit card sales. Enclose a copy of the transferring dealer/agent's FFL with payment. ‘3-day inspection’ means: Time starts when I get a UPS notification that the receiving FFL holder has received the gun. You have 3 business days to get there, inspect the gun, and notify me of your intent to either keep the item or have the FFL return it to my FFL. Non-shooting, non-disassembly, ‘on premises’ inspection. The gun does not leave the receiving FFL until either transferred to the new owner or returned via that FFL. You really won’t be able to confirm whether you agree with the valuation or establish your own valuation (if it differs) until you visually inspect the item in person. I have priced the item based on my current knowledge of the details and extensive study of FN/BrowninG Superposed history and their markets. If you are not satisfied with the item as priced, just notify me and I will provide a return FFL and shipping address. Return the item in the same condition (and as packaged) and insured for the purchase amount, to my FFL holder. I will re-inspect the item and refund the sale price less my initial shipping and insurance costs plus $25 re-transfer fees (basically $100), if item is packaged and returned in the same condition as sent. Shipments to and from California will be an additional $100 each way (if returned), or one way (if kept). No exceptions. Ask questions and request photos of specific views via ‘contact seller’ e-mail feature below beforehand. I’m happy to share what little I know about the gun's history and want you to be comfortable with me and confident in your purchase. Thank You for your interest and Please check-out my other Superposed listings.

For those 'watching', I genuinely appreciate your interest. I'm never sure what is being watched other than an item's eventual diappearence because I'm not likely to reduce the price. So, if you are interested in this item and would like to secure first refusal until an informed decision can be made, or wish to obtain inspection privileges, I welcome you to contact me with any questions you might have.

I have priced this gun well-below the realms of arrogance, fantasy, high ambition, or blatant deception - yet above what a bargain-hunter, dealer, scalper or tire-kicker might find attractive. Differences aside, everyone serves a purpose and there is a gun out there for everyone based on their respective knowledge, selection criteria and motives. This one is priced for the discriminating and self-respecting collector or shooter who appreciates the artistic, aesthetic, and historical aspects of the Superposed who plans to keep and enjoy it for as many years as I have.

You can't buy what's not for sale unless you offer the current owner more than they can refuse. You may only get one chance at what 'is' for sale, lest it disappear to another collector for the next 19 years. So, know what you want, know with 'what' and 'whom' you are dealing, and prepare for the opportunity when something 'special' comes along and strikes a passionate nerve.

Thanks again for your interest. Happy Hunting!
