Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: U.S. ARMY MODEL 1909 .45 COLT NEW SERVICE REVOLVER, #31XXX. A good, honest and unaltered example that obviously saw use (probably in the Philippines and possibly later in the trenches of World War I or even World War II). This revolver shows even very aged blue mixing brown overall, yet has sharp markings including the Model 1909 Army markings on the butt, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the bottom of the barrel (this marking often filed off), and rampant colt on the left side of the frame etc. There is still some fine fire blue on the hammer back and some also on the trigger sides. The walnut grips are correctly "R.A.C." inspected stamped on the bottom as well as this inspector stamp on various other parts, and the lanyard ring is intact. The action is as tight as when new and the bore is excellent (appears to have some leading in it that ought to clean out). This was the last .45 Colt chambered revolver made for the U.S. Government troops, now getting hard to find. It was replaced with the more common and less powerful Model 1917 in .45 ACP caliber. Many of these were later Parkerized. This one was not. An unaltered 110+ year old war-horse!
