PRICE REDUCTION.....I purchased this rifle years ago on a nostalgia binge. It was identical to one from my youth, and intended as a hands on capable deer rifle. From the beginning the goal was to make it shoot like when it came from Winchester in 1906. Accordingly, it went directly to master gunsmith, "Oregunsmith" in Pendelton, Oregon for barrel relining and any other work needed. As you can see by the muzzle photo, the barrel work is undetectable. I added the correct Lyman tang sight and set the original buckhorn aside (which goes with the gun).As it turns out, I have developed Macular Degeneration so I can no longer use iron sights. Purchase price includes a vintage canvas and leather case, 100 handloads, 3 vintage partial boxes, and a certificate of authenticity from the Buffalo Bill Museum in Wyoming. (The $1,300.00 purchase price does buy the ammo, the rifle,case, and certificate, but handling and shipping of the ammo would be a seperate transaction to be arranged and piad for by purchaser). Shipping of the rifle is actual cost, and to be paid by buyer.
