An Early U.S. Civil War Ames Model 182 Short Artillery Sword Dted 1855 With Its Original Two Piece U.S. Buckle And White Buffed Leather Belt Rig In Fine Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The sword has a fine blade and markings. It is clearly marked "AMES MFG CO. CHICOPEE" on one side and "US/ADK/1855" on the other. The brass grip is also in fine condition and is U.S. Inspected "ADK". The original scabbard is fine throughout, as is the brass drag. The original white buffed belt rig is excellent throughout and is maker marked on the inside. The two piece "US" Buckle is also excellent throughout. This Is A Very Fine Example Of An All Original And Complete U.S. Model 1832 Ames Short Sword Dated 1855 With Its Original Buffed Leather Belt Rig!
