#538-01, Arrieta 28 Bore Bar Action Sidelock Ejector Model 557 Made in 2001, 29" Ejector Chopper Lump barrels, The bores & chokes at .547 .008 & .009" (Skt.II & Skt.II), 2 3/4" chambers, Bushed strikers, Double triggers with the front articulated, Splinter forend with a frontal Anson release, Straight hand stock at 15 1/4 x 1 7/16 x 1 7/8" over a full face checkered butt, Slight cast-off for the right hand, 5 lbs. 14 oz., Nice wood with nice color & contrast, 85% coverage of scroll engraving, The barrels retain 99% original blue, The original frame finish at 100%, The wood remains at 99%, The checkering still at 100%, The barrels inside and out remain as new, The barrel striking is excellent plus, It remains tight to the face with a lot of bite left for many more years of game bird shooting. The barrels have a perfect chime. This gun was used very little and really is almost like a new piece. It is cased in a leather cornered leather trunk that is as new.
