Description:
Remington 722 rifle rechambered to .223 Remington. Barrel has been shortened to 24 inches and has 1/14 twist. Bore is in excellenrt condition. Action has been glass bedded including firstr 2" of barrel. Comes with Remington 4-16X scope with parallax adjusting objective lense. Scope is mounted in Redfield rings and bases. Trigger has installed trigger shoe. I refinished the stock in the late 60's with a very durable bowling alley finish. Left side of the barrel is marked E 44. This is is very accurare with the Sierra 53 Gr. flat base bullets. I have shot many 1/2" groups with the 52 Gr. bullet.but the 52 Gr. Boattail bullets will not stablize and will keyhole. The Finish is original blue and in very good condition, no rust, (90%) and wood is 95%. Please note, the barrel is marked .222 Remington, but chamber is .223 Rem. (Not 5.56 Nato) I have owned this gun since 1968, but is time to let it find a new home. Shipping $30
