A wonderful high-grade J P Sauer 20 gauge features 28" barrels choked strong improved modified and full (.021/.028). 2 -5/8" chambers, side clips, third fastener. Automatic ejectors, auto safe. Rich latent case color provides an ideal backdrop for the deep game scene engraving of dogs, partridge and wildfowl in a woodland setting surrounded by heavy acanthus that completely covers the small frame action. Prince of Wales grip stock of high grade European walnut with classic color and smoky figure measures 1-1/2", comb 2-1/2" heel, 14-1/8" over butt plate. Slight cast for right hand. Built in the Prussian era that shows the pride in craftsmanship. Locks up like new. A rare find, weighs an incredible 5 lbs, 5 oz. Truly a racy little thoroughbred !.
