We offer you a “U.S.A. Made” Winchester Classic Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in 7mm Remington Magnum Caliber.
In 1981 U.S. Repeating Arms Company who purchased the rights to manufacture the model 70. Which was then sold and so on when finally in 2008 it was announced that production of the Model 70 would resumed in the FN/Browning factory complex in Columbia, South Carolina. This is one of those Winchester/Browning model 70 rifles. So the barrel on the left side of this rifle is marked “-WINCHESTER MODEL 70 7MM REM MAG ONLY- / -WINCHESTER IS A REGISTERED TRADE MARK OF OLIN CORPORATION-". The left side of the receiver is marked “ WINCHESTER / MADE IN U.S.A.”. The right side of the barrel reads “-MODEL 70 SPORTER- / -MADE IN U.S.A. BACO INC MORGAN. UTAH-“. The serial of the rifle is “35CZZ03168” with the bolt matching with the last four “3168”.
The rifle wears a 26 inch barrel has an excellent bore with no issues. The bluing shows wear and some marks with the trigger guard showing “rack rash” on the sides as pictured. The stock has several marks, dings and scratches as pictures. The forearm shows a crack which is shown clearly in the pictures. It wears a set of 2-piece bases with Leupold 30mm scope rings. The scope rings were lapped when they were installed. The classic Model 70 features a Pre-64 style controlled round feed action “Claw Extractor” and the MOA trigger.
This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $60. This rifle will be shipped in a double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
