Description:
Winchester Model 12 in 12 Gauge. This shotgun has a 30" of Winchester Proof Steel with solid rib and fixed Full choke. Steel front bead. Action has Pre-War style Pigeon grade aftermarket engraving by former Winchester factory engraver Pauline Muerrle. Engraving consists of upland scene with 2 pointing dogs and 2 flushing partridges on right. Left side marsh scene features 4 flying mallards. Scenes are surrounded by fancy borders and foliate scroll with stippled backgrounds. Engraving extends to front portions of action and trigger guard bow. Jeweled bolt & carrier. Beavertail forearm & stamped steel capped pistol grip Monte Carlo Trap Y Series stock of fancy walnut. Factory style A hand carving believed to be by John Durkin. Manufactured in 1931. 12 Gauge
