#5360 Holland and Holland Hammer 500 Light Nitro .
Circa 1880, 28” barrels nitro reproofed for 55 cordite and 440 gr bullet. Shallow rifling with some oxidation but still very accurate and blemish free chambers. Good soldering and blacking 98% of an older and professional restauration. Jones underlever action with best rebounding hammers locks. Tight on face, 98% colors. The forend has a wedge-type lock on which a small piece is broken (last picture). The wood is in great condition with some handling marks. LOP is 14 1/4", weight is 8 Lbs. 9 Oz . The rifle regulates beautifully at 50 yards with Woodleigh 440 gr soft nose, 54 gr of IMR 4198, 9 gr of poly filer and Federal 215 primer (about 1950 f/s).
