India Pattern Type I 1793 Brown Bess. India Pattern Type I 1793 Brown Bess with a 39" barrel. Metal has dark drown patina, with pitting near flash-pan. Proof marks on barrel. Stock is good, shows usage and wear. What’s unique about this Bess looks to have a captured French ramrod! Could have been picked up and used from a Napoleonic Battlefield!
