"U.S. Model 1861 Percussion Contract Rifle. Manufactured by Norwich Arms Co. Metal is gray with some areas of surface pitting by the nipple and rear sight. Lock is dated 1863 with “US" over “Norwich". Stock has dings and letters carved in the wood. The letter “N" is in the butt stock and “E" is forward of the trigger guard. Affordable Civil War musket!
