Description:
F/S, no trades.   New Pricing of $2200.  Offered here is an original 1934 20 ga Fox Sterlingworth in immaculate condition. Most notable are the original vivid Fox case colors that remain on the receiver. The 28 inch barrels are also in perfect condition, being bright and shiney with no pitting and soundly ring. Chambered for 2 ¾ shells. Lock up is on face and the lever rests to the right. Bore diameter is .625 inches. Right choke at .614”, left choke at .608”. Barrels are regulated to shoot to the same point of aim. The wood is classic walnut, being sound with no cracks. Three small handling marks are pictured on the right side, rear of the receiver. Modern stock dimensions of: lop 14 ¼”, dac 1 5/8”, dah 2 ¾”, with cast off of ¼”. Weight is 6 pounds. Original butt plate. All numbers match. This is an excellent example of a Savage Sterlingworth in collectible condition, or a wonderful light weight upland field gun. Gun ships in a hard case.
