This is a 1944 byf model k98 Mauser. This vet bring back obviously has no import marks or punch-outs. This Mauser has all matching numbers except floor plate. There are no cracks visible in the wood anywhere and as seen in pictures stock and handguard are matching numbers as well. Bore is shiny and bright and I would be willing to provide pictures however I must learn adequate photograph techniques to do it justice. At some point in its life it received a thin nickel plating on the trigger guard floor plate and bolt. Much of this has worn or chipped off and it's safe to say could be removed with little damage to original finish underneath. This Mauser functions and acts as it should and there are no surprises. The trigger is excellent and the muzzle shows plenty of life left. We accept US postal service money orders for immediate shipping. But will also take personal checks that will be deposited and shipped after check has cleared. This gun is eligible for FFL 01 and FFL 03 shipping addresses.
