Description:
Serial #7686, .38 RF, 2 1/4" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has spots of darker freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome revolver that has retained 85-90% of the oiginal nickel finish, with some mild freckling, mainly around the cylinder flutes and on the gripstraps. All of the markings are still legible, including the etched panel on the barrel which has faded somewhat. The hammer retains some of the original bright fire blue, with the balance turned to freckled gray. A previous owner’s name is engraved on the underside of the frame below the cylinder: "E. CLARK". The rosewood grips are in good shape, with numerous small handling marks and blemishes on both panels. The action will cock and fire, however the cylinder does not advance as the handspring is missing. This is a handsome looking .38 New Line, and is in about fair-good condition overall. Antique
