Description:
Serial #153995, .41 Swiss RF, 33" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Bern-manufactured rifle that has about 80-85% of the original blue finish remaining on the metal, smoothly blending into a mellow, plum-brown patina on the balance. There is some gray fading at the muzzle, silvering on the exposed edges, and there are scattered spots of mild brown freckling on the receiver, and barrel bands. The bolt handle and spurred trigger guard have some dark brown freckling as well. The walnut buttstock and forend have minor surface scratches and surface blemishes scattered throughout the wood. The cartouches are still visible under the arsenal reapplied oil finish. There are some heavier handling marks around the rear barrel band, and a few minor chips around the borders of the top tang.
