Description:
This is a full box, 50 rounds, of .38 Long Rim Fire (.38 RF) ammunition manufactured by Winchester in 1880's. The two piece box has the early “Rifle Cartridges" designation and is in very good condition with old tape repairs to the top corners with some seam separation, flaking of the primary label with about 90% remaining and wear to the side labels with little of the original print remaining. The cartridges are mostly original “H" head stamped with several non-native that have “U" and “US" markings with all in near excellent condition showing aged and oxidized bullet lube that has coated the copper cases.
